ABOUT Gabe Goldman / General Public : General Public, Inc. creatively consists of three, sometimes four, ladies and gentlemen who really enjoy making things glisten and shine ... kinda like lip-gloss on a stripper. We have been creatively linked with a lot of companies big and small, but have deep roots in the action sports industry (as passé as that may sound). Our core team is Gabe Goldman hailing from the great state of Hawaii, but not really since I moved to Seattle when I was 3, so realistically I am rooted in the NW. Been riding since 1985, but retired from my non-professional amateur snowboarding career in 2001 because I was tired of getting hurt and not getting any better, so I picked up Motocross ... go figure.
Creatively I am very interested in most of the same shit that everyone else is … skating, riding, surfing, art, blah, blah, blah. The only difference is I own a company. The idea behind GP is kinda like Superfriends: we all do something well, so collectively we have a lot of fun ... corny but true. I am sadly addicted to my PSP and motorcycles, and just bought a Triumph Thruxton 900. I guess it’s better than being addicted to drugs or alcohol cuz that could be dangerous. I am 31 years old, married, and love my wife Sydney and my beautiful baby girl Ginger. I have two dogs, Spicollie and Sampson, and I live in West Seattle.
GP broke ground when I was 26, so in May we will be celebrating our 5th birthday and next year we start kindergarten ... should be fun.
